So now it wont start at al already replaced the battery andn cellunoid but to no avail;can someione tell me what can occur to the truck when driving in 2nd about 60 miles an hour for lijke ten miles ;onc i relaized i oput in intio reg drive and then it stalled about a quarter mile after woulds;what can this put strain on which parts most likely;it started sounding like it was running ver loud like a tractor trailer woudl sound then stalled Ok if I read this clearly sounds like you were drive at 60mph on the highway in 2nd gear for ten miles. Yes you did damage if not blown your engine. You could have warped your heads due to the heat of staying in second for ten miles and also did a lot of damage to your transmission. Bring it to the mechanic to get it checked out, but most knowingly if it wont start mean you did some damage to it. 65 in 2nd gear with a 6 cylinder, probably comes to about 9000 rpms for 10 miles. Not good. The loud sounds are probably a valve punching one of your pistons. Take the valve covers off and turn the engine to see which (or how many) lifters are broke or don't move. Next, drop the oil pan and look in the oil for broken metal parts. most likely you have some internal damage hope fully the valves didnt hit the piston! but you could have possibly thrown a rod too either way your looking at putting some cash into it if you want it fixed. the oil should tell you all you need to know. second and third clutch packs are next to each other, where as first is up front and reverse at the back leaving second and third in the middle, you have probably basically welded second and third together from over heating and stress on the second clutch pack,by start at all do you mean the motor will not start or is tight not turning over at all. Driving in 2nd makes the engine run faster, but doesn't strain anything. You must have been low on oil or coolant, it sounds like it seized up. Auto parts : Battery Cable End Acura 1995 . Mercedes-Benz . How to Fill a Car RadiatorCar radiators contain a 50/50 mixture of engine coolant and water. The coolant mixture circulates through the car's engine, where it draws heat from the engine, allowing the engine to cool. The coolant then travels back through the radiator, where it passes between the tanks via small tubes fitted with cooling fins. As the coolant moves between the tanks, the cooling fins draw the heat out of the coolant and release it into the atmosphere. This process cannot work unless the radiator contains the proper amount of coolant and water. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need 2 gallons coolant 2 gallons distilled water Funnel (optional) Step by Step : 1 Open the radiator or coolant overflow tank, depending on the year, make and model of your vehicle. Never open a cooling system unless the car's engine is cold. If your car has a radiator cap, the cap will be located at the top of one of the radiator tanks. If not, the overflow tank is usually translucent and equipped with a cap that has a coolant symbol on the top. 2 Place the funnel into the radiator or coolant overflow tank, if necessary and then pour in one gallon of coolant. At the time of this writing, there are at least six different types of engine coolant. Make sure you know what type of coolant your car uses before purchasing any. Never mix different types of coolant, regardless of what the coolant may say on the bottle. 3 Pour one gallon of distilled water into the radiator or coolant overflow tank. Never use tap water, as hard water deposits can plug up passageways in your radiator and the engine's water jacket. 4 Pour half of the remaining coolant into the coolant bottle you emptied in Step 2. Make sure the two coolant bottles now have half a gallon in each one. Fill the first bottle with half a gallon of distilled water to create a 50/50 mixture. 5 Pour the 50/50 mixture into the radiator or coolant overflow tank until the tank is full. Start the engine and turn the heat on inside the car. Allow the engine to run until the temperature gauge starts to rise and shut the engine off. Top the radiator or coolant overflow tank with 50/50 mixture as needed and reinstall the cap. Tips & Warnings Never open up a cooling system when the engine is warm or hot. Pressurized steam heated above 200 degrees can and will escape, potentially causing serious injury or death.
Mercedes-Benz . How to Calculate Cabin AltitudeThe most comfortable setting for cabin altitude is between 5,000 and 8,000 feet. The selector normally indicates 10,000 feet maximum; however, it is seldom used. Pressure increase is acceptable in the 500 foot per minute range regardless of the rate of climb. This is the maximum passenger (max pax) comfort level. If the cabin were to increase with the climb rate, ears would be popping and discomfort quickly noted to the flight attendant. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Step by Step : 1 Set the pressurization prior to takeoff at 8,000 feet and at 500 feet per minute. Move on to the check list. Regardless of the climb rate, which is usually high because reaching cruise as fast as comfortably possible is the main concern, the pressurization will be gradual enough for passengers. There is always an 8- to 11-lb. differential through the bleeds, the bleeds being the overboard vents, so the system will trail the climb but will catch up to the setting at the top. A pressurized cabin in an aircraft differs from a submarine as an aircraft is not a captive rebreather system. Air is continuously pumped into the cabin and exhausted through the bleeds, or overboard vents. The amount of air allowed to vent the cabin determines the pressurization. 2 Look up the field elevation when preparing to descend. Set the field elevation as the descent begins. Allow the system to remain in its present vertical velocity of 500 feet rate of descent. Rate of descent is usually more gradual for noise abatement in most areas, so it will be close enough to keep the passengers from complaining. 3 Set the cabin pressure for short low altitude routes under 20,000 feet by setting the altitude to 5,000 feet cruise. This slows the pressurization process to a comfortable level. *Buying the right parts for your car To buy the proper spark plugs and parts for a basic tune-up, you must know your vehicle's specifications (or "specs," as they're often called). To obtain the specs for your particular vehicle, you need the following information. All this information should be in your owner's manual, and most of it is also printed on metal tags or decals located inside your hood. You can usually find these in front of the radiator, inside the fenders, on the inside of the hood — anywhere the auto manufacturer thinks you'll find them. I know of one car that has its decal inside the lid of the glove compartment. These ID tags also give a lot of other information about where the vehicle was made, what kind of paint it has, and so on, but don't worry about that information right now. The make of the vehicle (for example, Ford or Honda). 482

yes cause thy were the nice ones and people today still try to buy them today Chevrolet G-Series G20. * Whether the vehicle has an automatic or a manual (standard) transmission. The engine displacement: How much room there is in each cylinder when the piston is at its lowest point. (For example, a 300-cubic inch 6-cylinder engine has a displacement of 50 cubic inches in each cylinder.) The bigger the displacement, the more fuel and air the cylinders in the engine hold. . Chapter 12: Keeping Your Electrical System in Tune Engines on older cars may be listed in cubic inches, such as 302, 350, 454, and so on. Newer cars may be listed in liters (1.8, 2.3, 5.9) or cubic centimeters (2200, 3400, 3800). V0 The kind of fuel system: If your engine has a carburetor, you need to know how many carburetor barrels it has. It may be a 1-barrel, 2-barrel, or 4-barrel carburetor. ("Barrel" may be abbreviated as "bbl" on some specifications.) If your engine is fuel-injected, you may need to know whether your car has throttle body injection or multi-port injection. (Chapter 6 makes sense of this stuff.) V Whether the vehicle has air conditioning. It's necessary to take this into account when buying certain parts, but not usually spark plugs or distributor tune-up parts. Understanding tune-up specifications Your owner's manual may have specifications for everything you need for a basic tune-up. If you don't have an owner's manual, or if yours lacks the necessary data, you can go to an auto supply store and use a general "Tune-Up Specification Guide" (called a "spec sheet" for short). These guides are either in pamphlet form or printed on large sheets that are displayed near the parts section of the store (see Figure 12-1). If you can't find a spec sheet at the store, ask a salesperson to show it to you. Mercedes-Benz . Where is the fuse for the radio?
